How does the programme deliver...

Aims

 

To raise students’ awareness of key personal financial issues; budgeting, financial terms and products and an understanding on the basic principles of money management

 

·         An introduction of credit and debit and how they work

 

·         To raise awareness of what debt is and how it can occur

 

·        Students compare the features of different types of cards and explore issues of credit, terms & conditions and user responsibilities

 

·        To develop the enterprise skills need to deliver a product within a budget & other constraints

 

Objectives

 

At the end of the training session students will:

 

·        Have gained an understanding and knowledge on concepts such as money and credit, budgeting and money management skills and personal risk taking as well as taking responsibility for key financial decisions and information security

 

·        Be able to define basic terms and concepts related to credit and debit cards and learn to analyse real life credit offers, evaluate choices, learning about factors such as interest rates and proper credit card use and consequences of credit abuse

 

·        Be able to describe the skills needed to solve problems & make compromises within the product development process, being able to comprehend and interpret data

 

·        Have worked together as a team making decisions through negotiation

 

·        Have produced & delivered a presentation orally with suitable visual aids

 

·        Be able to evaluate personal performance to aid future development
